The Evolving Psychedelic Landscape in NM
Ceremonial · Regulated · Underground
The psychedelic landscape is changing rapidly, and New Mexico is helping shape its future. Join us for an evening exploring the three worlds that currently coexist: traditional ceremonial practice, the emerging regulated medical model, and the longstanding underground community. Where do these approaches overlap? Where do they differ? What opportunities and challenges lie ahead?
We’re honored to welcome three speakers whose combined experience spans public policy, clinical science, ceremonial practice, and holistic healing.
Our panel
Denali Wilson served as a key advocate for New Mexico’s Medical Psilocybin Act (Senate Bill 219) and now serves as New Mexico Director of Strategic Support for the Healing Advocacy Fund. Formerly with the ACLU of New Mexico, she helped shepherd the legislation through the state legislature and continues to support its implementation as New Mexico’s regulatory framework takes shape.
Kate Hawke is a therapist, educator, and longtime leader in the psychedelic field whose work has explored trauma, death and dying, and expanded states of consciousness for more than five decades. She brings a rare historical perspective spanning ceremonial traditions, clinical practice, community leadership, and public policy, with a deep commitment to ethical practice and meaningful integration.
Dr. Katie Simons, PharmD, BCPS, CCHT, founder of The Holistic Apothec, bridges conventional medicine with nervous system healing, somatic practices, hypnotherapy, and expanded states of consciousness. A former Clinical Pharmacy Specialist with the Veterans Affairs healthcare system, she now supports individuals through medication tapering, trauma-informed healing, and psychedelic integration, bringing a unique perspective that honors both scientific rigor and embodied transformation.
Whether you’re curious about New Mexico’s new medical psilocybin program, interested in the broader evolution of the psychedelic field, or simply looking to deepen your understanding of the many paths people take toward healing, this promises to be a rich evening of conversation, learning, and community.
We welcome you to join us with an open heart and thoughtful attention.
